COLORADO RAMPAGE
named as

 USA HOCKEY MODEL ASSOCIATION

USA Hockey has announced that the Colorado Rampage has earned the
designation as a USA Hockey Model Association.  There are only 17 model
associations in the nation.

With this designation, the Colorado Rampage has committed to fully implement programming dedicated to age-appropriate skill development, in accordance with USA Hockey's American Development Model (ADM), throughout the 8U (mite), 10U (squirt) and 12U (peewee) classifications.

"We are excited to have been awarded this designation.  It's a reflection of
our commitment to provide the best quality programming and developmental opportunities for our players," notes Andrew Sherman, Director of the Colorado Rampage.  "Our dedicated coaches will now have access to some of the best resources, plans and national level USA Hockey staff to ensure that our players excel."

Becoming an ADM Model Association has many benefits for the Colorado
Rampage.  We receive support from USA Hockey with regard to coaches'
training, on-ice instruction, training materials and parent educational
resources.

"We're excited to welcome our next wave of model associations and we're excited for the kids who will benefit from the commitment of these associations to age-appropriate skill development," said Kevin McLaughlin, Senior Director of Hockey Development for USA Hockey.  "By taking this step, the Colorado Rampage are making a strong move to offer the best possible development, competition and training environment for its  players."

The Rampage coaching staff has already had an opportunity to participate in a coaching clinic with USA Hockey's Ken Martel and Ty Hennes.

"We are very excited for this opportunity!  Pat Bingham and I have spent a lot of time researching age-appropriate training and we feel like this partnership and being awarded ADM status really gives us an opportunity to implement the age-appropriate training we have talked about for a long time" notes Sherman. "We are grateful for the opportunity and we do not take it for granted."

"With the help of USA Hockey, we are committed to be the best developers of young hockey players that we can be," commented Pat Bingham, President of the Colorado Rampage. "I think the players will make great strides in their development and it will show in their skills and game play!"
