Mite Player of the Week
ZACH NIMETZ - Mite Intermediate Red Team
Zach has come a long way in his hockey skills and development this year already. He even has taken part in some of the NHL Squirt rec league to get in extra practice. He is one of the strongest players at the Mite level and works hard to win puck battles and take the puck from the other team. He is a good teammate, eager to learn and works hard to try new things, all while having fun!

Favorite Thing about Hockey: Quick passes that lead to goals, shooting, goals, taking the puck away from the other team, skating...pretty much everything about the sport!

Favorite thing to do when not playing Hockey: Love dinosaurs and space. Like to draw, hike and ride bikes.

Squirt Player of the Week
REECE THORNTON - Squirt C Team
Reese had a great week with 1 goal and 3 assists out of the 5 goals the Squirt C team scored. His effort and ability to make things happen help a ton. Reece was also on the ice for the 5th goal. Reese showed some hard work in the games, working hard during both games last weekend, even when we were down. He put in a great effort all week in practice and then into the games.

Pee Wee Player of the Week
AUSTIN SAWYER - Pee Wee AA Team
Austin is consistently one of hardest working players on the ice, and continues to generate scoring opportunities every game, while always being a sound defensive player. He scored against Hyland Hills in the Pee Wee AA victory this past weekend. In their 3 weekend's games, Austin generated numerous scoring opportunities for the team. He's a very hard working player, easy to coach, and doesn't complain.
Austin is a quiet leader, leads by example, listens, absorbs and is always looking to do what's best for the team.

Bantam Player of the Week
CECILIA "CC" KNIGHT - Bantam B Team
CC has been one of the fearless and hardest working players since her return from a early season injury. She is always consistent on the blue line and always dependable. This weekend she was engaged and willing to battle in the corners and in front of the net. She continues to improve everyday.

Favorite Thing about Hockey: The competitiveness and challenge. Checking and speed.

CC donates blood, lived in the Netherlands, and some people think she's Canadian. She also was selected to be a Colorado Avalanche Youth Player and got to stand next to Shane O'Brien during the anthem!
