Driven to succeed

"If there's one thing to say about AJ, it's that he's a tremendous competitor. He's hard to play against. He wants the puck more than anyone on the ice," Pat Bingham said of AJ when asked about his recent commitment to The Ohio State University. AJ Vanderbeck has been with the Colorado Rampage since he was 8 years old, from Mites to 18U AAA (as a 16 year old). At 5'11", 190lbs, the stout forward with an NHL shot has maintained an esteemed record of putting the puck in the net at all levels.

With 89 points in 66 games at the Tier 1 Elite level, AJ found his way into the NAHL at 17 with the Lone Star Brahmas. Drafted into the USHL in 2014, AJ ended up playing for Sioux Falls Stampede before heading to the BCHL with the Wenatchee Wild where he posted 66 points in 55 games.

AJ currently wears the Captain's "C" with the Wenatchee Wild being a leader on and off the ice with 4 seasons of Junior A hockey under his belt. AJ is prepared to head into the world of NCAA Division 1 hockey.

Congratulations AJ on your commitment!
