Two Rampage alumni who recently signed with their respective AHL teams squared-off against each other on 4/14/14.  Tom Serratore, who signed 4/14/14 with the Adirondack Phantoms (affiliate of the NHL Philadelphia Flyers) squared-off against Josh Holmstrom of the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (affiliate of the NHL NY Islanders).  The Phantoms won the game 4-2.

Tom Serratore, fresh off his appearance at the 2014 Frozen Four in Philadelphia with the University of Minnesota where the Golden Gophers advanced to the national championship game, signed an Amateur Tryout contract (ATO) with the Adirondack Phantoms.  He will wear #21 for the Phantoms.

Josh Holmstrom, who played for Umass Lowell, signed an ATO last week with the Bridgeprot Sound Tigers.  He wears #8 for the Sound Tigers.

Serratore will join teammate and Phantom's Captain Ben Holmstrom (#23) on the Adirondacks' roster. Ben Holmstrom is also a Colorado Springs native and is the brother of Josh Holmstom of the Sound Tigers.

For the first time, three Colorado Springs natives played in an American Hockey League game on Monday night.

In the Monday night 4/14/14 game, Ben Holmstrom picked up an assist on the winning goal in a 4-2 victory for the Phantoms in Serratore’s pro debut. Josh Holmstrom has yet to record a points in first five pro games.

The same two squads, Phantoms and Sound Tigers, will face-off again with the Rampage alumni and Holmstrom brothers playing each other to end their last week of the season on Friday April 18, 2014.  Neither team will make the AHL playoffs.
