For the last 4 years, hockey's great Sidney Crosby has held an NHL pre training camp in Vail, Colorado. This is where he gathers a collection of some of NHL's elite players for a pre season conditioning skate at more than 8000 feet elevation. This high intensity, high elevation skate is intended to get the players prepared for the coming season. 
 
In 2009, Colorado Rampage alumni goaltender Matt LaPrade was asked to skate with this elite group of NHL players. Over the Labor Day Weekend of 2013, Colorado Rampage goaltender Jacob Weatherly was also invited to skate with this elite group of NHL players. Here is Sidney Crosby playing defense in front of Jacob Weatherly. 
 
The camp continues through the first week of September, with players reporting to their respective training camp afterwards.
