Colorado Rampage Alumni Kyle DeLaurell has chosen the NHL Chicago Blackhawks to attend their rookie camp this July.  Kyle,  an 88 birth year and leading scorer for Atlantic hockey champion Air Force, had other NHL teams to choose from. "The Blackhawks I felt were my best opportunity long term" DeLaurell said from his parents house in Colorado Springs. "It's a little ironic but I couldn't even make a AAA team when I was 14 and 15 years old and now I am going to an NHL camp and I am truly honored and flattered with this opportunity," said Delaurell.

DeLaurell played all four years of Midget hockey and aged out at Juniors as well in both the USHL and NAHL. "Kyle is a great example for young players today" said his former Coach and Rampage Director Andrew Sherman " he stayed patient and committed to the process and his philosophy of being better today than I was yesterday is paying off."

DeLaurell is one of three Rampage Alumni to attend NHL camp this summer and future stories to follow.
