Rampage Div. 1 Commitment

Colorado Rampage Alumni goaltender Matt LaPrade has committed to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers for the 2012-2013 season. "I've been a Gopher my whole life, and its a dream come true to be a part of such a great program and to have the privilege to wear maroon and gold" said Matt LaPrade after his phone call from head coach Don Lucia. "Coach Sherman said to stay committed to the process and that everything will work out" LaPrade stated in his phone interview. Matt started this past season with the Bay State Breakers of the Eastern Junior Hockey League and was traded during the season to the Corpus Christi Icerays in the NAHL. During the 2010-2011 Rampage season LaPrade had 7 wins 10 Losses 4 ties with 3 shutouts and his GAA was 2.74 with a .904 save percentage in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League. "We are thrilled for Matt and his family and this wonderful opportunity he has with University of Minnesota." said Director Andrew Sherman. Matt becomes the second Rampage Alumni to put on the prestigious jersey in Minnesota joining Tom Serratore (2006-2007).
