EDGE CLASSES - Saturdays
8 week session (starts Oct. 17) or drop-in options
Just like many of the NHL players who now train with professional skating coaches, the Rampage have now partnered with 7K Skating Academy to utilize the fantastic professional coaches to offer skating edge classes to develop all our hockey players with the best instruction in technique, agility, movement, balance and power generation.
Two levels of training available:
Edge Class Level 1 (typically U8 to U12: Saturdays, 8:30- 9 :10 AM
Edge Class Level 2 (typically U14 to U20: Saturdays 9:20 - 10:00 AM

Level 1: This class specializes in the introduction of skating skills and edge work to those hockey players interested in improving their overall skating quality. Agility skills and power distribution drills will be exercised on a weekly basis. Specific edge work will be taught in varying degrees of difficulties to compliment the skills needed to enhance practice and game performance. Typically for U8 to U12 ages.
Level 2: This class specializes in the enhancement of skating skills and edge work for those advanced hockey players interested in improving their overall skating quality. Agility skills, footwork and power distribution drills will be exercised on a weekly basis. Difficult edge work will be taught to compliment the skills needed to improve practice and game performance. Typically for more proficient skaters, U14 to U20.
We encourage each players to start out in their respective age group session and the Edge class coaches will move players as their skills advance or should they need additional instruction in some of the basics prior to moving onto more advanced edge drills.
Professional Coaching Staff: The Rampage organization will be working hand in hand with the elite staff of the 7k International Skating Academy. Among the members of this staff are national, international and Olympic level coaches who have expertise working with both figure skaters and hockey players.
