While starting the 2015-16 season with Minot Gilmore continued to play his first year of junior hockey with the Rampage.

In his first year of junior hockey Sam Gilmore led the Rampage in goals, assist, and total points. With 39 points in 34 games 18G 21A and 57 PIMS. 39 points marks a career high in points for Gilmore. Weather the play is even strength or special teams Gilmore found himself as an anchor for the Rampage team. Gilmore contributed 13 of his 39 points in special teams play, accumulating 5PPG 6PPA and 2SHG. “I have been lucky enough to watch Sam grow as a player from the 16 AAA level to where he is now. He is a big, strong, skilled forward that is starting to hit his full potential. The RMJHL is in for a big time force this year, Sam is a man on a mission and I would not want to be in his way.”- Coach Kevin LaPointe

Sam will enter this offseason training everyday to prepare his mind and body for the upcoming season. Like many players in the junior ranks Sam’s ultimate goal is to play college hockey next season. The Colorado Rampage will be working tirelessly to help Sam obtain his goals by providing professional training on and off the ice. “I have been apart of the Rampage for a long time, and have been grateful for every day. The training environment provided is unmatched and has been a big part in my development. The Rampage has been great to me in the past and know they will help me reach my goals. I can’t wait to get the season started and continue to build off last season and continue to learn from coach Newton and LaPointe.”- Sam Gilmore

“A big piece of the puzzle was filled today; it was a priority to have Sam back for the season. He is a leader for this team and will be vital to building the Rampage culture. He makes players around him better by competing everyday and not excepting anything but his best. He will continue to get better this season and will turn into a great fit for any college team.” Coach Andy Newton
