Monument, CO- The Colorado Rampage is pleased to announce that ’98 forward Jason Rivera will be returning for his second season with the 20U Rampage team. Jason is a Colorado Springs native, and recently graduated from Liberty High School. Rivera has been playing for Liberty Lancers since his freshmen year and has been a big part of the growth at Liberty High School. During the 2015-16 season Jason played for both the Lancers and Rampage 20U team. In his final season with the Lancers Rivera was a big part of the offense, in 19 games played Rivera finished with 40 points (23G, and 13A) helping to lead his team to a state playoff appearance. Rivera played a vital role with the Rampage as well. Really stepping up in the playoffs to help the Rampage finish third in the league and almost knocking off the top ranked team. This season Jason will be a full time member of the team and will be looking to bring his scoring touch full swing.

“I had a blast playing with the team last season, so it was not a hard decision to sign on. Our team really came together at the end of season, and with most of the guys returning and the new additions I know we will be a force this season. With our coaching staff and players taking this all the way is a much more attainable goal.”- Jason Rivera

“Big day for the team, Jason has come so far over the past 4 years since I coached him in bantam hockey. I have been able to watch him grow into a speedy forward with a knack for the net. I have been waiting a long time to get to work with him full time. I have high expectations for him this season and I know he is up to the challenge.”- Coach Kevin LaPointe
