COACH AL PEDERSEN:  Native of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, Coach Pedersen started out in the Fort Saskatchewan, youth organizations moving up to the WHL Juniors in Medicine Hat.  Coach Al was drafted by Boston Bruins in 1983 playing for 8 seasons in the NHL with Boston, the Hartford Whalers and Minnesota North Stars as a defenseman.  As a USA Hockey Level 4 coach, he came to Colorado Springs coaching WCHL Colorado Gold Kings.  Coach Al has been instrumental with Rampage and Monument Ice growing the game of hockey, from 8U Mites all the way up to the adult league.  His passion for the sport and development of the game results in national record breaking attendance for our Try Hockey for Free events, unstoppable growth of the Rampage Rec program and organization of the adult leagues.

COACH PAT BINGHAM:  Native of Vancouver, BC, Canada, Coach Bingham played professionally for 7 years in AHL, ECHL, CoHL, SuHL and SHL, preceded by 4 years of Major Junior in the WHL.   USA Hockey Level 4 certified, he has coached 14 years in the professional leagues.   In his first season with the Wheeling Nailers earned the prestigious ECHL’s Coach of the Year honor.  Coach Pat has been coaching for 20 years, with Rampage since 2012. With his high-level of professional experience, high-intensity to create a fun and competitive environment and keen eye for youth skill development, Coach Pat has developed his leadership role as President of Colorado Rampage, over-seeing every program we have to offer for every level of youth hockey.

COACH CJ YODER: Coach Yoder grew up playing for the Hershey Bears Youth Ice Hockey club while always competing in roller hockey at his family owned rink, Doc's Family Fun Center.  Coach CJ attended Buffalo State University while playing for the Niagra Scenics Junior A team, leading him to play professionally in the WPHL and WCHL.  He began playing professional roller hockey in 1993, joining the team USA Roller hockey program, from 1995-2013, Captain of the team from 1998-2012. During his time with Team USA, his team won 13 World Championship Gold Medals, 2 Pan American Game Gold Medals, 1 World Games Gold Medal and in 2004 he was recognized as the Inline Hockey Player of the year.  Not only an internationally recognized player, he has coached, managed roller rinks and after moving to Colorado Springs, partnering with his father beginning their own roller hockey league.  It is this wealth of experience and dedication to player development Coach CJ brings to his position as Hockey Director with Colorado Rampage in addition to leading our 12 and 13U AAA teams as head coach.

COACH LUKE FULGHUM:  Native to Colorado Springs youth hockey, Coach Fulghum played for the Waterloo Blackhawks and the Fighting Saints in the USHL.  After 4 years of NCAA hockey including 2 NCAA Championships with the University of Denver Pioneers, Coach Luke signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL, where he spent 3 years in the AHL and ECHL.  After 10 years of professional hockey, including 4 years in Europe, he returned to Colorado to play and then coach for the Denver Cutthroats of the CHL as well as the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL. In 2014, he was inducted into the University of Denver's Athletic Hall of Fame.  Since building his home and family in Colorado Springs, over the past few years, he has grown in the Rampage organization from 16U AAA head coach, to our Tier 1 AAA director and 18U AAA head coach. 
MARC BOXER

15U AAA Tier 1 Head Coach

COACH MARC BOXER:  Coach Boxer grew up and playing youth hockey in the Hancock, MI area.  He played high school, AAA and Jr. Hockey, going on to play 4 years at Miami University, OH where he was selected to be on the All-Freshman Team, before moving on to play professional hockey with the Louisville River Frogs (ECHL), Memphis River Kings (CHL) and ESV Bayreuth – Germany.  He has been involved with player development from the 8U level all the way to 14U AA, collegiately at Michigan Tech University (WCHA) and professionally with the Memphis River Kings (CHL).  With his USA Hockey Level 5 certification, Coach Boxer led the USA Hockey Select 16 with Team Michigan, as GM for the USA Hockey Selects team since 2007 and with numerous USA Hockey National Teams and Player Development programs since 2003.  Currently serving as Director of Junior Hockey with USA Hockey, he led our 2016-17 15U team, finishing as one of the top teams in the district.  We are looking forward to a future of leadership and development.

COACH SHAWN KURULAK:  Coach Kurulak was born and raised and grew up playing youth hockey in Calgary, AB, Canada.  He went on to play in the University of Denver Pioneers’ program as a defenseman, and Alternate Captain for 3 seasons graduating with BSBA degree in Finance and Marketing.  He was WCHA All-Academic selection for 3 years and was selected to the WCHA All-Star squad in 1998.  Coach Kurulak has coached for 13 years including 9 years with NCAA programs such as RPI, West Point, Bemidji State, as well as at the Junior A level and the NAHL.  With his USA Hockey Level 4 certification he was able to coach at the USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Development Camps, and previously served as an Assistant Video coach with Colorado Avalanche.  He was the Hockey Director for the Hyland Hills Hockey Association, head coach of the Squirt and Major Midget AA programs, before joining the Colorado Rampage as our 14 and 15U head coach.

COACH ANDREW SHERMAN:  Coach Sherman, native of Schenectady, NY played collegiate hockey with Rochester Institute of Technology spent his senior season as Captain of the team, graduating with his degree in Business Management.  Coach Sherman went on to become a certified NHL player agent from 1998-2003.  As a USA Hockey Regional scout and district coach, completing his USA Hockey Level 5, he coached professionally and with Tier 1 U18 for past 17 years, leading his teams to more than 16 championships.  Coach Sherman’s extensive agent and coaching background makes him an invaluable asset to our players as they navigate through this elite development process.  He has counseled, guided and mentored many young players through the Tier 1 and recruiting process, including numerous Rampage alumni who are now earning spots with professional and collegiate programs, as well as NHL camps.

COACH JOE STANCZYK: Born in Detroit, MI, Coach Stanczyk, certified USA Hockey Level 4 since 1995, has coached for over 25 years at every level from 8U Mite to Midget AAA and Juniors.  He has worked with numerous camps and clinics; USA Hockey select camps, junior prep camps, All-Star Hockey Schools, Powell River Kings, Surrey Eagles (BCHL), and the San Diego Gulls.  Developing and launching the AA/AAA program with the San Diego Jr. Gulls in 1996. Coach Joe’s high-level experience and knowledge of player development goes beyond the ice.  He is a certified youth sports administrator (CYSA), specializing as a youth fitness, speed and agility trainer.  During his time as the Youth Sports and Fitness Director with JB Pearl Harbor Hickman in Hawaii, he led the way, developing the program to become the largest YSF program world-wide, averaging 3,000 participants quarterly.

COACH RIESE NIEHAUS:  Coach Niehaus grew up in the net, playing youth hockey in Colorado.  Playing 16U AAA in California before moving up to play Junior hockey for 2 years.  After suffering a career altering injury he decided to pursue his passion for the game through coaching and player development.  Coach Riese came back to Colorado to begin his coaching career with both Bantam and Midget travel as well as high-school varsity hockey for 6 seasons.  With his high-level goaltending experience Coach Riese has successfully mentored players of all ages, through camps, private lessons and team training.  As a USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach, he has been a dedicated Goalie Coach as well as assistant coach for teams from 12U through 18U AAA.  Since joining Rampage in 2013, Coach Riese has been fortunate enough to be mentored by our elite professional coaching staff and has become an integral part of not only the coaching staff, but the Executive Leadership team as well.

COACH STEVE LAMERE: Growing up in Apple Valley, MN.  Coach LaMere played youth hockey youth all the way through High School.  He went on to play in the NAHL with the Danville Wings going on to college he played for Saint Mary’s University and then the Augsburg Auggies in 1997-2000 where his team made a NCAA Final Four Appearance.  Coach LaMere was voted all conference and team captain.  His objective has always been to work in the development of individual skill, emphasizing team mentality and play.  He is Level 4 USA Hockey coach and USA Hockey Director certified.  Coach Steve has led players at every level from 8U Mite to Junior A, developing athletes as the Hockey Director and Bantam Minor Head Coach for HC Dallas, Dallas Stars 15U head coach, and working with the Texas Affiliate and Rocky Mountain Regional camps before coming to Rampage.  His intense passionate style is truly meant for next-level players that want to be pushed out of their comfort zone becoming the best hockey player they can be.

COACH GEORGE PAGONIS:  Coach Pagonis originally from New Jersey played youth hockey with Littleton and went on to play Tier 1 for the Colorado Thunderbirds winning a National Championship 1 of the 3 times his team appeared.  He moved to play Rampage AAA 2009-2010 led by Coach Sherman, in 2009 he had the opportunity to attend the national player development camp in New York.  Coach George played Juniors with Missoula Maulers (AWHL) and Wichita Falls (NAHL).  While currently enrolled at UCCS, studying business administration and finance, Coach George has led the Rampage 20U team for the past 2 consecutive seasons and will be taking on the 18U American team this coming season as head coach

COACH COLIN MARTEL:  Coach Martel grew up in Colorado Springs, graduated from Pine Creek High School and headed to Haaga-Helia University of Applied Science in Vierumäki Unit, in Finland, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Leisure, minoring in Ice Hockey Coaching. Before joining the Colorado Rampage coaching staff, Coach Colin was the assistant coach for Pine Creek High School, stick-handling coach in the CSAHA program, assistant coach and video coach for the Vierumäki A-Juniors of the Finland 3 League, he also interned as the assistant coach and video coach for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL.

Scott Bradley

COACH SCOTT BRADLEY:  Coach Bradley grew up playing Colorado Springs youth hockey moving on to play two years of junior hockey for the Billings Bulls in the NAFHL.  He was Captain of the Air Force Academy Division 1 team, graduating in 2001, earning all-league honors. Coach Scott spent the following 16 years as a pilot in the US Air Force flying F-15Es and F-22's including 5 years at the F-22 school house instructing America's elite fighter pilots.  In addition to his USA Hockey Level 3 certification, Coach Scott brings his elite level of teaching experience and value of discipline to the Rampage program.

COACH RYAN COLE:  Coach Cole grew up in Highlands Ranch, playing youth hockey for the Thunderbirds and then the Rampage before moving to juniors in the NAHL and the WSHL for a number of teams. Coach Ryan earned his Marketing degree from Miami University of Ohio and moved back to Colorado.  He is excited to begin his coaching career with Colorado Rampage, giving back to the club that guided him through his development in youth hockey.

Ryan Massa

COACH MASSA: A native of Littleton, CO, Ryan has recently completed his professional playing career within the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. Ryan has played the position of goaltender for 23 years and began his journey within the Littleton Hawks Association. Ryan progressed to the U16 AAA level where he competed for the Colorado Thunderbirds. From 2007-2009, Ryan was a member of the Colorado Rampage U18 AAA and earned multiple championships with the organization. Ryan moved on to play his junior career in the USHL with the Fargo Force before accepting a NCAA Div. I scholarship to attend University of Nebraska at Omaha. Ryan graduated with degrees in Finance, Investment Banking, and Portfolio Management. In 2014-15, he led the UNO Mavericks in a historical run to the NCAA Frozen Four in Boston. After his collegiate career, Ryan spent the following 2 seasons playing in the Toronto Maple Leaf organization primarily with AHL and ECHL affiliates. Ryan returns to the Rampage program eager to develop complete athletes and will provide intuitive on and off-ice instruction to prepare young athletes for future success at elite levels.

COACH ENG:  Coach Eng grew up in Kelowna, BC, CAN. Eng played youth hockey as a goalie, then went onto coach hockey and be a hockey referee. Eng is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC), through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). In addition he is aslo a USA Weightlifting Association Certified Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.   He earned a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University (Langley, British Columbia, Canada) and received his Masters of Science in Sports Medicine in the Strength and Conditioning track from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. He also has had previous placements with the Colorado College Tigers (NCAA Division III) and the Colorado State University - Pueblo Thunderwolves (NCAA Division II). Jon has also completed practicums at the US Air Force Academy and Colorado Orthopedic Center of Excellence. He has worked with hockey athletes who compete in the USHL, NAHL, WHL, NCAA Division 1,2 & 3, Olympic men's singles figure skating and international senior men's singles figure skating.

COACH ALLEN: Jessica has 18 years of experience Figure Skating. She trained with elite coaches such as: Amy D'entremont, Erick Shultz, Damon Allen, Janet Champion, Christy Krall, Jack Courtney, Chea Hutton, Becky Bradley, Ryan Jahnke, Larry Ibarra, and Tiffany Dombeck. In her training she gained knowledge and experience in all disciplines of skating. She was mainly a singles freestyle skater, but also has experience in pairs, dance, and synchronized skating. Jessica has experience coaching hockey skaters on their skating skills. She is a national competitor in synchronized skating and performed in many ice shows such as POPS on Ice and Nutcracker on Ice. She is very grateful that she has the privilege to coach for a living and share her passion and knowledge of skating with our younger generation.
