8U Head Coach & Coordinator

COACH PEDERSEN:  Native of Fort Saskatchewan, AB, CAN.  USA Hockey Level 4.  Played in Fort Saskatchewan, AB Youth organizations and Medicine Hat, AB WHL Juniors.  Drafted 1983 by Boston Bruins.  Played as a defenseman in NHL for 8 season with Bruins, Hartford Whalers and Minnesota North Stars.  Came to COS to coach WCHL Colorado Gold Kings and now has spend time since with Rampage and Colorado Sports Center, growing hockey from Mites to Adults.   Past few season coaching the Tier 1 U15 team, as well as Age Group Coordinator of Mite and developer of Mite programs, along with Learn to Play Hockey and Rampage house league programs.  Has a midget aged son who has played in Tier 1 and 2 in the Rampage program.

COACH BINGHAM:  Native of Vancouver, BC, CAN.  USA Hockey Level 4. Played 4 years of major junior in the WHL and 7 years Pro in AHL, ECHL, CoHL, SuHL and SHL. Coached 14 years in the professional leagues earning ECHL’s Coach of the Year honors in 2006-07 in his first year with the Wheeling Nailers. Pat has coached for 18 years including the last 5 years with Rampage 16U & 18U AAA programs. Director of Rampage spring and summer programs.  Pat has a keen eye for youth skill development. He encourages a high-pace, high-intensity, fun and competitive environment.

COACH YODER: Hailing from Hershey, Pennsylvania, CJ grew up playing for the Hershey Bears Youth Hockey club and playing roller hockey in the family owned rink, Doc's Family Fun Center, before moving on to Junior A hockey in Buffalo, NY for the Niagra Scenics. During his time playing Junior, CJ attended Buffalo State University, eventually leading to playing pro in the WPHL and WCHL. CJ began playing professional roller hockey in 1993, before joining the team USA Roller hockey program, playing from 1995-2013, wearing the Captain's "C" from 1998-2012. During his time with Team USA, CJ and his teammates have won 13 World Championship Gold Medals, 2 Pan American Game Gold Medals, 1 World Games Gold Medal and was recognized as the 2004 Inline Hockey Player of the year. CJ Has been coaching hockey and managing roller rinks in Pennsylvania and upon moving to the Colorado Springs area, started his own league with his father. His wealth of experience and dedication to player development will make him an incredible addition to the Colorado Rampage coaching staff.

COACH FULGHUM:  A local to the Springs area, Fulghum played in the USHL (Waterloo Blackhawks and Dubuque Fighting Saints) for 3 years after playing his Midget hockey in Colorado Springs. He then played 4 years of NCAA hockey with the University of Denver Pioneers, where he was part of 2 NCAA championship teams.  Fulghum signed with the the Toronto Maple Leafs in the NHL, and spent 3 years in the AHL and ECHL.  In total, Fulghum played 10 years of Pro hockey, including in Europe for 4 years. He returned home to play for the Denver Cutthroats of the CHL as player/assistant coach and also with the Colorado Eagles of the ECHL. In 2014, Fulghum was inducted into the University of Denver's Athletic Hall of Fame. Fulghum has spent the past 2 seasons coaching Tier 1 16U AAA in the Colorado Springs region.

COACH BOXER:  Boxer was born in Dallas, TX and grew up and played his youth hockey in the Hancock, MI area. USA Hockey Level 5. He has been involved with player development from numerous levels for the past 20 years including working with youth programs in Oxford, OH and Colorado Springs, CO with 8U, 10U A, 12U A & AA, and 14U AA levels, as well as collegiatly at Michigan Tech University (WCHA) , professionally with the Memphis River Kings (CHL).  Coach Boxer has served in the USA Hockey player development programs coaching the USA Hockey Select 16 with Team Michigan, and has serve as GM for the USA Hockey Selects team since 2007 and with numerous USA Hockey National Teams and Player Development programs since 2003.   Boxer played high school, AAA and Jr. Hockey, then went to play 4 years at Miami University, OH (selected on the All-Freshman Team) before moving on to play professional hockey with the Louisville River Frogs (ECHL), Memphis River Kings (CHL) and ESV Bayreuth – Germany.  Boxer is currently serving as Director of Junior Hockey with USA Hockey. Coach Boxer resides in Colorado Springs with his wife Rachel, sons Jack (Rampage '01 AAA player) and Max (’03) and their dog Bauer.

 

SHAWN KURULAK

COACH KURULAK:  Born and raised in Calgary, AB, CAN.  USA Hockey Level 4.  Coached at USA Hockey Rocky Mountain District Development Camps, and previously served as an Assistant Video coach with Colorado Avalanche.  Played youth hockey in Calgary region, and went on to play in the University of Denver Pioneers’ program as a defenseman.  He was an Alternate Captain for 3 seasons with the Pioneers.  Was a 3-year WCHA All-Academic selection and was selected to the WCHA All-Star squad in 1998.  Graduated from DU with BSBA degree in Finance and Marketing.  Has coached for 13 years including 9 years with NCAA programs such as RPI, West Point, Bemidji State, as well as a the Junior A level and in the NAHL.  He has also coached at the U18 Tier 1 level, and was most recently Hockey Director for the Hyland Hills Hockey Association and Head Coach from the Squirt and Major Midget AA programs.

COACH SHERMAN:  Native of Schenectady, NY.  USA Hockey Level 5,  USA Hockey Regional scout and district coach.  Played collegiate hockey with Rochester Institute of Technology, captain his senior year.  Graduated with degree in Business Mgmt.  Became certified NHL player agent from 1998-2003.  Coached for 17 years, professionally and with Tier 1 U18 for past 15 years with 16 championships to his team’s credit.  Has developed, counseled and guided many young players through the Tier 1 and recruiting process, including numerous Rampage alumni who are now earning spots with semi-pro programs and at NHL camps.

COACH STANCZYK:  Born in Detroit, MI. USA Hockey Level 4 coach since 1995. Raised in Michigan, Colorado and California. Coached for 25 years at all levels from Mite to Midget AAA and Juniors.  Has worked USA Hockey select camps, junior prep camps, All-Star Hockey Schools, Powell River Kings and Surrey Eagles (BCHL), the San Diego Gulls and numerous other camps, clinics. Started the San Diego Jr. Gulls AA/AAA program in 1996. Experienced in all areas of player development. Was the Youth Sports and Fitness Director at JB Pearl Harbor Hickam, HI before moving to Colorado in 2012. Built the Pearl Harbor Hickam program into the largest YSF program world wide averaging 3,000 participants quarterly. Has been a certified youth sports administrator (CYSA), youth fitness trainer and speed, agility, quickness trainer for 15 years.  Currently resides in  Monument with his son.

COACH NIEHAUS:  A native of Boulder, CO, Niehaus grew up and played youth hockey as a goaltender. He is USA Hockey Level 4 certified coach. Niehaus played 16U AAA in California before playing Junior hockey for 2 years.  He received a career altering injury and decided instead to pursue his passion for teaching and coaching. Niehaus came back to Colorado where he began his coaching career. He has coached both travel and high-school hockey in the Northern Colorado area, where he coached Bantam and Midget levels for 6 seasons, including doing private lessons and camps with goaltenders ranging from squirts to 18u AAA and Junior A.  Since 2013, Coach Niehaus has been with the Rampage programs in many capacities including as Goalie Coach and assistant coach with the Rampage 16U National and 18U programs.

12U A Head Coach

COACH LAMERE: grew up playing hockey in Apple Valley, MN.  After an extremely enjoyable youth and high school career, Steve played with the Danville Wings in the North American Hockey League (NAHL) in 1995-96.  In college, Steve played hockey for Saint Mary’s University (MIAC - NCAA DIV. III) in 1996-97, and then for the Augsburg Auggies (MIAC - NCAA DIV. III) 1997-2000 where they made a NCAA Final Four appearance in 1997-98, and he was voted all-conference & team captain in 1999-00. After a fulfilling playing career, Steve moved to Texas to pursue a job opportunity, and immediately started coaching youth and adult hockey.  
Steve’s main objective has always been to work on developing the individual skill and game sense needed to play at the next level, with a strong emphasis on team play and team mentality. His intense and passionate way of teaching is truly meant for players that have the desire to be pushed out of their comfort zone to become the best all-around hockey player they can be. Steve has coached at every level of youth hockey from Mite - Junior A, and has been helping young athletes develop skill and learn the game in the DFW area since 2001. Most recently, Steve was the Hockey Director and Bantam Minor Head Coach for HC Dallas, and Head Coach for the Dallas Stars Elite 15U team.  He also volunteered for USA Hockey to help with the Texas Affiliate Camp, and Rocky Mountain District Regional Camp.  He has Level 4 USA Hockey coaching certification, and USA Hockey director certification (NARCE 2014).

COACH PAGONIS: Born in new Jersey,  played youth hockey at Littleton and Colorado thunderbirds, been to nationals 3 times won 1. Played Rampage2009-2010 for Coach Andrew Sherman and in 2009 went to the national player development camp in New York. Played Juniors with  Missoula maulers (AWHL) and  Witchita Falls (NAHL). Currently enrolled at UCCS, studying business administration and finance. George is extremely grateful and excited to be a part of the Colorado Rampage organization again, in a new roll. He is ready to help develop players and get them to the next level.

COACH MARTEL:  USA Hockey Level 4. After graduating from Pine Creek High School in Colorado Springs, Colin graduated with a Bachelor of Sports and Leisure with a minor in Ice Hockey Coaching from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences, Vierumäki Unit, in Finland. Colin has had numerous coaching assignments including most recently as an assistant coach for Pine Creek High School and as a stick-handling coach in the CSAHA program. Previously, Martel was an assistant coach and video coach for the Vierumäki A-Juniors of the Finland 3 League, and intern coach and video coach for the Muskegon Lumberjacks in the USHL.

Scott Bradley

12U B Head Coach

COACH BRADLEY: Scott Bradley is a USA hockey level 3 certified coach. He grew up playing Colorado Springs youth hockey and played two years of junior hockey for the Billings Bulls in the NAFHL in 1996-97.  Scott played Division 1 hockey for the AIr Force Academy graduating in 2001 as the team Captain earning all-league honors. Scott spent the following 16 years as a pilot in the US Air Force flying F-15Es and F-22's including 5 years at the F-22 school house instructing America's elite fighter pilots.  Scott is Married to his wife Jill of 16 years; they have 4 kids including 3 boys playing Rampage hockey.  Scott is excited to be involved with the Rampage program teaching youth the value of discipline, hard work and team goals through the sport of hockey. 

Ryan Cole

10U A Head Coach

COACH COLE: Cole grew up in Highlands Ranch, playing youth hockey for the Thunderbirds and then the Rampage before playing juniors in the NAHL and the WSHL for a number of teams. Cole has Marketing degree from Miami University of Ohio and is excited to get his start in coaching, giving back to the club that helped him so much as a player through his development in youth hockey.

Ryan Massa

COACH MASSA: A native of Littleton, CO, Ryan has recently completed his professional playing career within the Toronto Maple Leafs organization. Ryan has played the position of goaltender for 23 years and began his journey within the Littleton Hawks Association. Ryan progressed to the U16 AAA level where he competed for the Colorado Thunderbirds. From 2007-2009, Ryan was a member of the Colorado Rampage U18 AAA and earned multiple championships with the organization. Ryan moved on to play his junior career in the USHL with the Fargo Force before accepting a NCAA Div. I scholarship to attend University of Nebraska at Omaha. Ryan graduated with degrees in Finance, Investment Banking, and Portfolio Management. In 2014-15, he led the UNO Mavericks in a historical run to the NCAA Frozen Four in Boston. After his collegiate career, Ryan spent the following 2 seasons playing in the Toronto Maple Leaf organization primarily with AHL and ECHL affiliates. Ryan returns to the Rampage program eager to develop complete athletes and will provide intuitive on and off-ice instruction to prepare young athletes for future success at elite levels.

COACH ENG:  Coach Eng grew up in Kelowna, BC, CAN. Eng played youth hockey as a goalie, then went onto coach hockey and be a hockey referee. Eng is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), and a USA Weightlifting Association certified Level 1 Sports Performance Coach.  He earned a Bachelor of Human Kinetics from Trinity Western University (Langley, British Columbia, Canada) and received his Masters of Science in Sports Medicine in the Strength and Conditioning track from the University of Colorado - Colorado Springs. He also has had previous placements with the Colorado College Tigers (NCAA Division III) and the Colorado State University - Pueblo Thunderwolves (NCAA Division II). Jon has also completed practicums at the US Air Force Academy and Colorado Orthopedic Center of Excellence. He has worked with hockey athletes who compete in the USHL, NAHL, WHL, NCAA Division 1,2 & 3, Olympic men's singles figure skating and international senior men's singles figure skating.
LAUREN COLIZZA

STRENGTH & CONDITIONING COACH

COACH LAUREN:  Colizza has over 12 years of strength and conditioning experience with developmental, College, Olympic, and Professional athletes. Programs she has worked with include  Colorado College ice hockey, volleyball, and lacrosse teams; also has worked with basketball, tennis, football; track and field, boxing, judo, tae kwon do, and wrestling. Lauren has also worked with individual athletes from the Philadelphia Flyers, the Philadelphia Phantoms, and various National and World Figure Skating Champions and Medalists.  From 2009-2012, Coach Colizza was an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the NSCA national headquarters, and worked with a wide variety of athletes, but eventually focused on law enforcement, military, and fire and rescue personnel during her tenure there.  Colizza has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Delaware. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association. She is also USA Weightlifting Level 1 Certified, and has a current CPR/AED certification.

POWER SKATING COACH - 7K International Skating Academy

COACH ADE:  World renowned skating specialist with numerous certifications, awards and successful athletes to her credit. Level VIII and Certified Master level rated skating coach in Freestyle skating. Named Developmental Coach of the Year in 2011 and awarded USOC/USG “Building Dreams” award and “Inspiration” Award as well as the  USOC “Order of Ecos” medal for her work with Sochi athletes in 2014, including Olympic Bronze Medalist Jason Brown.  Holds a BS from Loyola University.  Technical specialist and instructor on power development and edge work.  Serves on US Figure Skating's Sport Science and Medicine Committee.  Develops all levels of athletes (youth, NFL, NBA and NHL) on-ice/field as well as through numerous off-ice programs and curriculum to develop the whole athlete, emotionally, physically and athletically.

COACH ALLEN: Jessica has 18 years of experience Figure Skating. She trained with elite coaches such as: Amy D'entremont, Erick Shultz, Damon Allen, Janet Champion, Christy Krall, Jack Courtney, Chea Hutton, Becky Bradley, Ryan Jahnke, Larry Ibarra, and Tiffany Dombeck. In her training she gained knowledge and experience in all disciplines of skating. She was mainly a singles freestyle skater, but also has experience in pairs, dance, and synchronized skating. Jessica has experience coaching hockey skaters on their skating skills. She is a national competitor in synchronized skating and performed in many ice shows such as POPS on Ice and Nutcracker on Ice. She is very grateful that she has the privilege to coach for a living and share her passion and knowledge of skating with our younger generation.
